About This Little Season
This Little Season is a thoughtful space for parents in Singapore navigating the early years — from toddler tantrums to first fevers, preschool tours to packing for a family trip.
I created this blog after realising how hard it was to find local, practical and honest parenting advice — especially in those in-between moments when you’re just trying to figure things out on the fly.
The kind of advice you might ask a trusted friend:
“What should I do when my child has HFMD?”
“Is this fever normal?”
“Is there anywhere kid-friendly to go this weekend?”
Here, you’ll find:
🧺 Practical guides for common childhood illnesses and parenting situations
🌿 Reflections on everyday life with young kids in Singapore
✈️ Family-friendly travel tips (with realistic expectations)
🧸 Product picks and small joys that make life easier or lovelier
Whether you’re in the thick of toddlerhood or figuring out primary school registration, I hope this space brings you clarity, comfort — and the reminder that you’re not alone.
Because this season is messy. But it’s also fleeting, tender and worth holding gently.
If you’re a brand, organisation or parent-focused service looking to connect with families in Singapore, I’d love to hear from you. Find out more about how we can work together here.
About me

I’m Jaclyn — a stay-at-home mum to two young children, living in Singapore and learning as I go. I find joy in the everyday: school runs, bedtime rituals, handwritten notes and quiet little surprises.
Before this season of life, I was a magazine writer covering local women’s issues. I later ran a well-loved flower studio for over a decade — a dream that blossomed into a family business filled with creativity, community and chaos (!).
I’ve done the juggling mum act too — balancing work emails with childcare drop offs, panicking in the clinic queue because work was piling up . So I understand the mental load that working parents carry, and the small, unseen decisions that fill our days.
Over time, I found myself often searching for grounded, practical and localised advice — like what to ask at a preschool open house, or how to care for a child with HFMD — and realising it wasn’t always easy to find. So I began collecting what I’ve learned, from experience and from conversations with other parents, and putting it all in one place.
This Little Season is that space — a quiet corner of the internet where I share stories, notes, and reflections. It’s part parenting resource, part creative outlet — a way to stay connected, fulfilled, and not feel quite so “left behind” as a SAHM. I’m not here as an expert, just as a fellow parent figuring things out, one day at a time.
I’m also working on a children’s picture book that encourages young readers to pause, notice and engage with the world around them.
